Having a dog in your family can be really rewarding, fun and exciting but only if you have come to a serious decision and you know for a fact that everyone in the house is ready for one. Any pet requires attention, time and financial support in order to keep them healthy and living a great life. No one wants to make a dog miserable (or any other animal for that matter) so you should consider all the pros and con of adding a pet to the family and once you have decided that you, the house and everyone in it are ready to bring a four legged new BFF in your life then is time to consider what king of dog best suits your lifestyle. The needs of every breed should be the first priority to consider. Consult with a vet the characteristics of the breed and compare them to your everyday life will make a dog-master perfect match.  In this really nice article I found great inspiration and advice about the facts that have to be considered when getting a dog, read it here for more info…

I stumbled upon these pictures and they are just so cute and impossible to ignore. So, here… take a look at them and think of unconditional love. The Dachshund mom has adopted the piglet whose mom was unable to take care of and according to the author of the piece the foster mom has made no difference and loves and cares for the piglet just as much as she does for her own puppies. I think is a very valuable lesson for us “superior” breed when it comes to making no distinctions. Time is coming when humans should stop remarking the differences among us and start living as one sharing what was given to us instead of fighting against each other to gain power over it…

In a recent post we highlighted the importance of Animal Rescue Associations, non-profit organizations and every society that dedicates time and effort to keep our beloved animals off the street and away from risks that they can’t avoid by themselves. In this article an Animal Lover is taking action towards rescuing dogs and cats and that makes her a Hero; the kind that we all need to see more and more everywhere. Our personal thanks go to her.
