There is nothing easier than taking care of a Chihuahua puppy when it comes to grooming. We have it personally very easy, all it takes is a bath every now and then and some hair brushing and a good smelling doggie lotion and we are good to go!!!

I bet the long haired variety takes a little bit more time and effort but I’m sure it is worth it to make your loved ones look as handsome as they deserve.

Are you about to become a parent for a dog and don’t know what breed to choose? Have you heard many rumors about Chihuahuas that will keep you from getting one? If you find yourself doubtful and can’t make up your mind about whether to get a Chihuahua or not; I highly recommend this breed for many reasons: They are obedient, loving, caring, fun to be around and more important they will never, ever leave you alone. Their size is great for an apartment; more so if there are size restrictions that prevent you from getting a large breed. If you aren’t willing to commit to care for your Chi, pay the most attention to him and play almost 24/7 then you should think of a different kind of dog but if you are in doubt, stop thinking and go ahead and get a Chi, I promise you’ll never regret it. That we treat Dali like a child there is no doubt… We have been told so and we are adult enough to recognize that is true; it might be even wrong but we don’t know any better, plus I don’t think we harm anybody. Thinking of our current situation as happy owners of an amazing dog I couldn’t help but wonder what about those families that on top of having children, God Bless Them, have to also manage owning a Chihuahua. Don’t get me wrong, they are my favorite breed but I don’t know if they can really interact with humans when they aren’t the center of their Universe… so I started researching a bit and came to the conclusion that as with any other aspect of owning a dog; patient, love and dedication would do it when facing the facts of having Children under the same roof as Chihuahuas. Here are some useful tips on that matter.

We love all kind of dogs don’t get us wrong but as parents of a Chihuahua we must confess that small dogs occupy a special place in our hearts… At the beginning of our relationship with Dali (our Chihuahua) we used to say “we own a Chihuahua” but after a while we are even prouder to say “we are owned by a Chihuahua”. He is the sweetest guy in town and we wanted to share this with everyone out there.
