Even though I have not been at their facilities and having learned from them online I decided to blog about them and their work because it just is amazing. A group of great people working unconditionally to try and make Chihuahuas happy, that says a lot about them. To me they deserve the recognition, help and support that anyone can give them. I mean they are dedicating time and effort to rescue Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes, caring for their wellness, searching for qualified loving homes to adopt them and taking them out of the misery some heartless humans can put them through… Bravo for them and all of those who work hard every day to make a dog happier, healthier and loved…

Check out this great Chihuahua Rescue and Transport Association, you might feel prompted to make a much needed donation…

And keeping up with our duty of spreading the word about our beloved canines that are in need of a loving home, we found on the net the web site of the Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption where anyone can check out the pet that they currently have for adoption, sponsor a pet and make donations to this great entity that works to protect and give a better life to our pets when they are neglected, abused or not taken care of.

Check it out, their work is really amazing; and while you are at it please, please check out Caramello story; is really heart warming, and feel free to sponsor him in his journey to a healthier life.

I stumbled upon this amazing story and I couldn’t help but go right into my blog and share with everyone who reads it. I’m still amazed by the stories I find on the internet and there are some that need to be spread and known so we as humans can keep discovering that from our best friends we can learn how to become better humans. Ironic, isn’t it? Well here you go; see how a dog can help us keep our spirits up even in times of adversity.

We have been having a really hard time trying to walk Dali around the apartments complex we live at.  Sometimes I think that is because of the cars parked in the parking lot right outside our apartment that scare him ’cause of the many times we have been out in the park he has behaved like a gentleman or a gentledog I should say… Anyways, I found some very useful tips on this article that I’m going to put in practice with our beloved Chihuahua who is turning one year old this coming Monday, April 14th. and see if we get more successful. Meanwhile, anybody can benefit with the advice of Mr. Cesar Millan who I consider an expert on dealing with dogs.

This is a really new disease that is affecting our loved ones. No dog is immune to it. There is not vaccine against it. In the beginning was believed to affect only race dogs but there have been cases of companion dogs that have been affected by it. Even though it is treatable with antibiotics we all should keep a close eye on our dogs, since it is a airborne disease there is no need for your dog to be in contact with other sick dogs in order to be infected. More information on this disease can be found in this ARTICLE that becomes very useful in accounting the symptoms and needed care for it.

Summer is almost here and those of us who have dogs sometimes find it really hard to spot a dog friendly beach. As a matter of fact I still don’t understand why somebody would not want to have dogs around while sun bathing… Oh!!! Wait… I know… but still since vacation time means more free time it is great being able to expend more time with our best friends, the ones that wait for us every day of the year while we mind our business running nonstop in our daily routines. They certainly deserve more stress-free time with their masters that’s why I’m posting the list of the Top Ten Dog Friendly Beaches in America and cordially invite everyone out there who can tell of some other dog friendly vacation spots to share them with us.

Look how cool and explanatory this article is. It describes the different types of body languages that our beloved dogs use to communicate not only with other dogs but also with us… their humans…

It’s funny to think that all of us see this kind of language expressed by our best friends all the time and many of us have no certain idea of what it means that’s when this piece comes in handy and becomes the perfect tool to help us know better our beloved canines. Enjoy it.
